im not gonna do a big intro for this. the title speaks for itself.
10 bloodhound gang
jimmy pop has a crazy way with words. the way he makes things rhyme even though they really dont rhyme or splits sylables. the topics. crazy ass references. bloodhoundgang is a very underated band and if you ask me, they had a huge part in the whole rapmetal thing that was so big in 2000 but they didnt get much credit for it. after alot of my shows ive had people come up to me and say
that my music reminds them of BHG and i take that as a HUGE compliment.

9 slipknot
i know slipknots kinda fell off but the first cd was great they had an agression and anger that you could feel in their music. corey taylor sounded genuinley mad in his voice you felt the emotion in it. thats dope.
cd recommendation: slipknot
track recommendation: heretic anthem
8 mc lars
lars is dope. period. i always felt weird about labeling the music i do as this or that. but after i heard lars talk about hiphop and music in general. it put alot of it into perspective. im not a huge fan of punk rock but
i dig the mentality and alot of that was introduced to me from listening to mc lars.
cd recommendation: lars attacks

7 Deftones
deftones is my favorite band. they never fit into that numetal movement if you ask me. i didnt take them as alternative eigther they were something else. deftones is unique. there arent any other bands with that same sound. often imitated, never duplicated. ive always been a fan of
singers writing their lyrics almost like poetry thats something ive always found in deftones songs. you never
know what exactly hes talking about so it leaves it open to interperetation. i like that.

6 game
best rapper alive. i dont care what anyone says... best rapper alive. the passion and honesty in games words is undeniable. and the fact that you can tell he loves hip hop, probably not what comes with the territory for him anyway. its not 50, its not wayne, not jayz not kanye, and as good as he is, its not eminem. the game is the
realest ever.
cd recommendation: the documentary
track recommendation: 400 bars
(side note) the track is 20minutes long... yup 20 minute... i repeat... best rapper alive...
5 insane clown posse
now we can talk hiphop all day but icp is just something different. two scrubs gettin their shit together and saying "we're gonna do this shit" the carnival is dope and alot of people talk about how theyve "sold out" and everyone is entitled to their own opinion but at the end of the day im talking about the ambition that they showed to make psychopathic from nothing to what it is today. the idea they had was one that was hard for others to get behind but at some point they had to have said, "fuck it, we're doing this shit. and we aint stopping till we're there" and thats how every fucking indie rapper should feel.
cd recomendation: great milenko
track recommendation: headless boogie
4 mc chris
haters gonna hate. mc chris is what introduced me to nerdcore up until that point i had heard raps about killing, drugs, money, women and all other stuff. none of which i am very familiar with, but when i heard mc chris he was on some other shit. stuff i could relate to. listening to mc chris showed me that you dont need to be a hard ass dude to rap you just need to love music and be good at what you do.
cd recomendation: dungeon master of ceremonies

3 limp bizkit
limp bizkit is the reason i started listening to music hate if you want but i have always and will always be down with limp bizkit. if it wasnt for limp bizkit i prolly wouldve never even gotten into music. id prolly be some douche bag bro type guy or something. yeah theyve had some shit songs but 3 dollar bill is flawless in my opinion. fred durst isnt the best rapper but he sure as shit knows how to surround himself with people that know what theyre doing. nah he aint that bad.
cd recomendation: 3 dollar bill yall
track recommendation: pollution
2 big dumb face
alot of yall are prolly saying who the fuck is that. limpbizkit's guitarist did a side project and this is what it was. the songs made little to no sence and it was great. when i first heard BDF i felt like music didnt need to be take so seriously. and then i wrote apekid. if you hear the cd, you dont really see any direction in it theres no real point. and i think thats badass. ive said it before the songs i make i make for myself and if some one hears it and likes it then great. but if no one likes any of the songs i do then fuck it. imma still do them. i got that from this band.
cd recomendation: duke lion fights the terror

1 tech n9ne
take a little of each group i just talked about and consider it all the same for tech. everytime i feel like "man fuck music" i listen to tech n9ne and it changes the way i feel. i dont think ive ever heard a bad tech n9ne song. ive said it before godbless this man for giving his all to us through his music. sometimes you hear a rapper or band and think that their early stuff was better or their new stuff is better. but for real techs old stuff is just as good as his new. hes never fallen off and i dont think he ever will.
